David Munt – Co-Founder & Managing Director, Europe
David Munt is based in London where he heads the UK activities of The GenSight Group, which includes software product development. Mr. Munt has a unique breadth of expertise, having dedicated his career to the innovative application of advanced information technology to solve complex business strategy problems, and is the creator of the firm’s proprietary software, GenSight®.
Prior to The GenSight Group, Mr. Munt was the founder and Managing Director of Strategic Dynamics Ltd, a software and strategic consulting firm that primarily developed software for corporate planning. Previously Mr. Munt spent more than a decade as a senior consultant and director of several well-known UK based consulting firms, including PA Consulting, Generics and StratX, where he specialized in strategic planning applications with particular emphasis on market simulation. During this time, Mr. Munt recognized the need for software tools for strategic decision support and simulation as a key component of the corporate planning process. This became the basis for the GenSight® software product.
Mr. Munt has consulted and lectured world-wide on strategy and business issues. Mr. Munt holds a first class honors degree in engineering from Brunel University, a postgraduate marketing degree and an MBA from the University of Westminster.
Michael Menard – Co-Founder & President, North America
Mr.Menard is the creator of GenSight’s Decision Excellence® process methodology, which he has implemented working with senior executives of global customers across a variety of industries, including various subsidiaries and business units of Johnson & Johnson, Georgia Pacific and Toro. Prior to co-founding the GenSight Group, Mr. Menard was a founding partner of the Atlantis Group, a consulting firm focused on the design, implementation and adoption of criteria-based decision-making for large corporations.
Mr. Menard brings a varied background as an executive with particular expertise in the areas of engineering, research and development, and operations. Mr. Menard held several domestic and international leadership positions at Johnson & Johnson (J&J) where, over a 25 year career, he conceived, launched and managed a number of new products and technologies, and was awarded 15 U.S. and multiple international patents.
Immediately prior to leaving J&J in 1997, Mr. Menard was Vice President of Worldwide Engineering, where he chartered, created and developed a global technical organization responsible for new technology and process development, R&D support, new product introductions and capital allocation for operations in 44 countries. Mr. Menard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences from Governor’s State University.
Glynn Huntington – Vice President, Product Development
Glynn Huntington heads the software development function at GenSight, including R&D, software design, programming, testing, implementation and technical direction and support. Mr. Huntington has more than two decades of experience in the software development life-cycle using a wide range of technologies and has been a pioneer in the application of 3D visualization techniques to complex business problems.
Mr. Huntington joined GenSight in 2002. Prior to GenSight, he spent five years as a Product Development Manager with Strategic Dynamics, where he conceived, managed and delivered many of the Company’s technological developments and client solutions.
Prior to GenSight, Mr. Huntington spent seven years with Infrasoft (now part of Bentley Systems), a leading international CAD software developer/vendor where he designed, developed and supported innovative mathematical and visualization software for leading companies worldwide.
Sean Fitzgerald – Chief Operating Officer & Interim CFO
Sean Fitzgerald is Chief Operating Officer & Interim CFO at GenSight. Prior to joining GenSight, Sean was an Executive Vice President at EverFi, Inc. a leading education technology company backed by Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos, Google Chairman Eric Schmidt, and Twitter founder Evan Williams. Sean founded EverFi’s Chicago office and led the company’s expansion across 17 states in the Midwest and Mountain West. Prior to EverFi, Mr. Fitzgerald worked on Wall Street as a Senior Vice President at Lehman Brothers and Vice President at Bank of America, and also worked as an educator.
Mr. Fitzgerald’s diverse background includes executive leadership, sales, finance, strategy, and operations experience. Sean has a proven track record of formulating and implementing strategy, scaling and enhancing operating performance, building and leading high performing teams, and delivering results across start-ups and Fortune 500 companies.
Mr. Fitzgerald holds a MBA and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, a Master of Science in Education and Social Policy from Northwestern University, and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Dr Ray Thorman – Vice President, Professional Services
Dr. Thorman is a senior operations executive with extensive experience in portfolio analysis and management. Dr. Thorman has over 20 years experience of R&D, product development and business operations for Fortune 500 Corporations, and has implemented portfolio management in many large organizations across research and development, product development and capital allocation.
Prior to joining The GenSight Group in 2002, Dr. Thorman was a senior consultant with The Atlantis Group where he developed and delivered customized solutions for project portfolio management. Previously, Dr. Thorman was the Director of Business Operations for Champion International, where he implemented advanced portfolio management processes and tools to maximize the Company’s return on capital and R&D investments. At International Paper, Dr. Thorman developed advanced portfolio management processes to prioritize and value research and technology projects.
Dr. Thorman holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Princeton University.
