Variable

Variable is a term for a metric used as an element in a decision or scorecard.

Typically criteria used in decision making and prioritization cover financial and non financial metrics. Financial measures are usually handled as a numeric value, whereas strategic or quantitative criteria are usually handled as a multiple choice format linked to a scoring system.
